US launches fresh airstrikes on Iran after attack on American troops
According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the latest military operation is being carried out under the orders of President Donald Trump.
Officials said the mission aims to protect international shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, weaken Iran’s military capabilities, and respond to the recent attack on US soldiers in Jordan.
CENTCOM said the operation is focused on ensuring the safety of commercial vessels passing through the strategic waterway, which is one of the world’s busiest oil shipping routes.
However, the US military has not revealed which locations were targeted or provided details about the damage caused during the latest airstrikes.
Meanwhile, Iranian media claimed that US fighter jets struck several locations near Sirik and Hajiabad in southern Iran.
Iranian authorities have not yet released an official statement confirming the reported attacks or the extent of the damage.

The renewed military action comes as US-Iran tensions continue to rise, raising concerns about regional security and the possibility of further escalation.
The latest developments have also increased fears about the safety of global energy supplies and international shipping.
Analysts say continued military exchanges between the United States and Iran could affect stability across the Middle East and place additional pressure on international oil markets.
