Google offers 350,000 scholarships to Pakistani students in 2026, who can apply?

The technology company announced that it has increased the number of Google Career Certificates available in Pakistan. An additional 150,000 scholarships have been added this year, raising the total number of certificates under the program to 350,000.
Participants from across the country will be able to enroll in online courses recognized by industry professionals. The training covers several growing fields, including artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, project management, digital marketing and e-commerce.
According to Google, the initiative is designed to prepare students and professionals for modern workplace requirements. The courses are expected to support employment opportunities, freelancing careers and new business ventures.
The company said it has continued to expand its investment in Pakistan’s digital education sector since 2022. The latest expansion is part of a broader effort to strengthen workforce development and improve digital readiness.
The project is being carried out with the support of local organizations and educational institutions. Key partners include Tech Valley, the Punjab Higher Education Commission and the Higher Education Department.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication has also taken steps to encourage digital learning. Ministry officials have been directed to complete at least two Google Career Certificate courses to promote the use of AI and advanced technologies in government institutions.
The move highlights increasing collaboration between the public and private sectors to build a technology-driven workforce. It also reflects a growing focus on digital transformation across different areas of the economy.
