PMD weather forecast predicts rain in these areas over next 24 hours

PMD issues new weather forecast

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a new weather forecast for the next 24 hours. Most parts of the country are expected to remain dry, while some areas may see rain.

Most regions will have dry weather tonight and on Sunday. Daytime temperatures in the plains are likely to remain slightly warm.

Weather outlook for northern areas

Northern mountainous areas may have partly cloudy skies from Sunday afternoon. Islamabad and nearby areas are expected to remain dry, with slightly warm conditions during the day.

Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to stay dry. Daytime temperatures may rise in the plains, while upper districts could become partly cloudy in the afternoon.

Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan forecast

Most districts of Punjab are expected to remain dry, with warm conditions during the day. Murree, Galyat and nearby areas are also likely to stay dry, although partly cloudy skies may develop in the afternoon.

Hot and dry weather is expected across most parts of Sindh. Coastal areas may experience partly cloudy conditions, while most districts of Balochistan are also likely to remain hot and dry.

Rain chances in northern regions

In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, partly cloudy skies may develop from the afternoon. Some areas of Gilgit-Baltistan could also receive light rain.

The PMD said most parts of the country experienced hot and dry weather during the past 24 hours. The highest temperature of 41°C was recorded in Dadu and Sibi.

Most of Pakistan is expected to remain dry, with warmer conditions in the plains. The main possibility of rain is in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, while northern areas may become partly cloudy.
