Pakistan launches PAK app for petrol complaints
The Pakistan government has launched a digital complaint system for beneficiaries facing problems with the Petrol Relief Scheme, allowing citizens to report issues directly through the PAK app. The Ministry of IT and Telecommunication said the system will also allow users to track the progress of their complaints.
Under the new process, users need to open the PAK app and select the Fuel Complaint option. They can then provide details about the problem and enter relevant information about the petrol station involved before submitting the complaint.
Once a complaint is submitted, citizens can monitor its status through the app, making it easier to follow up without repeatedly visiting offices or petrol stations.
Complaints over fuel relief
The digital facility comes as the government continues implementing its fuel relief programme, which provides eligible consumers with a Rs100 per litre subsidy. The scheme covers motorcycles, rickshaws, Qingqi vehicles and cars with engines up to 800cc, subject to eligibility conditions.
Earlier, the government had also established a 24-hour control room and introduced 9771 for complaints related to registration and petrol stations.
The latest PAK app facility adds a digital option for beneficiaries who face difficulties with fuel relief, registration-related matters or service at participating petrol stations.
The government says the complaint mechanism is aimed at making the process more accessible while improving complaint tracking and response.
