Field Marshal Asim Munir arrives in Turkiye on official visit

Field Marshal Asim Munir arrives in Türkiye on a two-day official visit to hold meetings with the country’s military and political leadership.

During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir is scheduled to hold important meetings with Türkiye’s military and political leadership to discuss matters of mutual interest. The visit highlights the close defence and strategic relations between Pakistan and Türkiye, with both countries maintaining longstanding cooperation in multiple fields.

Earlier this month, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also visited Türkiye and held several key meetings with Turkish leadership. The prime minister said his visit would further strengthen the historic and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Türkiye.

He added that Turkish investors and business leaders have shown keen interest in investing in Pakistan’s diverse sectors, particularly mining, minerals and energy. Officials said the high-level engagements between the two countries reflect their commitment to expanding cooperation and further strengthening bilateral ties.
