Operation Shaban continues in Balochistan, 88 militants killed
A joint counterterrorism campaign, Operation Shaban, is continuing across Balochistan with the participation of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, and provincial police, according to security sources.
The operation is aimed at targeting militants through coordinated ground and aerial actions in different parts of the province. Security officials said the latest phase of the operation resulted in the killing of three more militants after security forces successfully targeted their hideouts.
With the latest development, the total number of militants killed during Operation Shaban has reached 88, security sources confirmed. They added that the operation has inflicted significant losses on militant networks operating in the region.

According to the same sources, a broader counterterrorism campaign has been underway since July 5, including Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations (IBOs). During this period, a total of 126 militants have reportedly been killed in various security operations conducted across Balochistan.
Security officials stated that the coordinated efforts of the Pakistan Army, FC Balochistan, and police have disrupted militant activities and damaged their operational capabilities. They emphasized that security forces remain committed to maintaining peace and stability in the province through sustained operations.
Authorities further said that Operation Shaban will continue until all militant threats in the area have been eliminated. Security forces remain on high alert and are continuing intelligence-led actions to prevent future attacks and strengthen the overall security situation across Balochistan.
