Gold prices in Pakistan rise sharply for fourth straight day
The rise follows another increase in international gold prices. The international market saw gold prices rise by $22 to $4,341 per ounce. The global increase has also pushed up gold rates in Pakistan’s local markets.
Local gold rates reach new high
According to the local bullion market, the price of one tola of gold has increased to Rs456,536 after the latest Rs2,200 rise. The price of 10 grams of gold has also moved higher.
The price of 10 grams of gold has increased by Rs1,887 to Rs391,406. The latest rise has added to pressure on buyers looking to purchase jewellery or invest in gold.
Silver prices move in the opposite direction
Unlike gold, silver prices have declined in the local market. The price of one tola of silver fell by Rs113 to Rs6,826.
The continued rise in gold prices has once again drawn the attention of investors and people planning to buy jewellery. Market sources say changes in international gold prices are directly affecting local rates.
Gold has recorded a major increase over the past few days, with the price of one tola rising by a total of Rs28,600 during the previous three days. The sharp increase is keeping buyers cautious while investors continue to closely watch the market.
The latest increase shows how strongly international gold prices can affect Pakistan’s local market. If global prices remain high, local gold rates could continue to face upward pressure.
For ordinary buyers, the rising prices could make jewellery purchases more expensive. Investors, meanwhile, may continue watching global market movements before making their next move.
