Gold price falls by Rs15,100 per tola in Pakistan, check new rates
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the latest fall pushed the local gold rate below the Rs470,000 mark. The change came after gold prices remained stable in both local and international markets on Friday.
10-gram gold also becomes cheaper
The price of 10-gram gold also recorded a significant decline. It fell by Rs12,946 to Rs401,179.
The move shows that the drop was not limited to the per-tola rate. Buyers looking for smaller quantities also saw lower prices.
Global gold prices fall
International gold prices declined by $151 to $4,454 per ounce, including a $20 premium. The sharp fall in the global market was a key reason behind the lower rates in Pakistan.
The international market often has a direct impact on local gold prices. Any major movement abroad can quickly affect rates for Pakistani buyers.
Silver prices also decline
Silver prices also moved lower during the latest trading session. The price fell by Rs397 per tola to Rs7,112.
Overall, the latest figures show a clear downward move across both gold and silver markets. However, further changes will depend largely on international prices and market conditions.
The fall in gold prices could offer some relief to buyers after recent high rates. Investors, however, may continue watching the international market closely before making new decisions.
