Saudi Arabia launches tourism Package Visa for 7 countries, including Pakistan
How the Package Visa works
The fully digital initiative was developed jointly by the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, and the Insurance Authority, and adds a fourth entry pathway alongside the existing tourist e-visa, visa on arrival, and stopover transit visa.
Travelers receive an electronic visa automatically once they complete the purchase of a full travel package, removing the need to file a separate visa application or visit a Saudi embassy.
The visa is issued electronically within 48 hours of the package purchase, with a total fee of roughly SAR 402, covering both visa issuance and travel insurance. Each package bundles airline tickets, accommodation at a licensed tourism facility, and the visa itself into one integrated booking.

Eligible Countries and Requirements
During this pilot phase, the Package Visa is available to citizens of Egypt, Jordan, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Mexico. The Ministry of Tourism said the list of eligible countries would expand in later phases.
To qualify, travelers need a confirmed reservation at a four-star hotel or higher, confirmed round-trip flights, and a package worth at least SAR 4,000 for the first two days per adult, with an additional SAR 1,000 required for each extra day.
The package duration must run for at least two days and no more than 88 days, and the visa itself remains valid for three months from the start of travel, permitting a single entry.
The Kingdom welcomed 29.3 million international visitors in 2025, generating SAR 176.6 billion in inbound tourism spending, with non-religious travel now making up 52 percent of overnight visits, up from 44 percent in 2019.
The new visa route is expected to make it easier for first-time visitors from Pakistan and the other pilot countries to plan trips without navigating separate embassy procedures.
