HEC invites applications for Oman undergraduate scholarships
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has invited applications from students in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir for the Government of Oman Undergraduate Scholarship Programme for the 2026-27 academic year.
According to the HEC, students interested in applying must have a valid Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) score to be considered for the scholarship. No separate admission test will be conducted for this scholarship programme.
The commission stated that only applicants whose USAT results are dated June 13, 2025, or later will be eligible to apply. Candidates with older test scores will not qualify under the announced criteria.
The HEC clarified that the scholarship is aimed at providing talented students with an opportunity to pursue undergraduate education in Oman, helping strengthen academic cooperation and educational ties between the two countries.
Students are encouraged to carefully review the eligibility requirements and ensure that all necessary documents are submitted before the application deadline. Incomplete or late applications may not be considered during the selection process.
According to the official announcement, the last date to apply is July 13, 2026. Interested candidates are advised to complete their applications as early as possible to avoid last-minute technical issues.
The scholarship programme offers Pakistani students an opportunity to gain international academic experience while studying at recognised institutions in Oman. Education experts say such programmes help students enhance their academic skills, broaden their global exposure and improve future career prospects through quality higher education abroad.
