Iran claims strike on US military base in Jordan
The Iran Revolutionary Guard said the operation was carried out in response to recent US strikes, marking another sharp escalation in Iran US tensions.
According to Iranian media, the attack targeted the command-and-control center and an MQ drone hangar at a Jordan US military base.
In an official statement, the Iran Revolutionary Guard claimed the strike caused significant damage to critical military infrastructure.

The statement also alleged that the US military tried to provoke several commercial vessels using what Iran called an illegal route south of the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian naval forces claimed they acted quickly to prevent the situation from worsening.
Iran further alleged that US forces later launched airstrikes on coastal bases and telecommunications towers in southern Iran.
Officials said Iranian forces responded immediately with retaliatory attacks, further increasing Iran US conflict across the region.
