(Web Desk): Global crude oil prices fell on Tuesday, while Asian stock markets showed a mixed performance with gains in South Korea and Japan.

Global crude oil prices remained under pressure on Tuesday as fresh fluctuations in international markets kept investors cautious. The latest trading session saw both major oil benchmarks move lower, while stock markets across Asia delivered mixed results.

Oil prices remain under pressure

In global trade, the price of American crude oil dropped by 2 percent to $104 per barrel. Meanwhile, British crude slipped by 1.5 percent to $113 per barrel.

Market analysts said oil prices continue to react to uncertainty over global demand, supply concerns and changing investor sentiment. Traders are closely monitoring economic signals from major economies, as any slowdown in industrial activity can affect energy consumption worldwide.

Mixed picture in Asian stock markets

Asian equity markets also showed an uneven trend.

South Korea’s stock market posted the strongest performance of the day, with the main index rising by 5 percent. Japan also recorded modest gains, with its market moving up by 0.38 percent.

However, a weaker trend was seen in several other regional markets. Stock exchanges in India, Hong Kong, Malaysia and New Zealand remained under pressure during trading.

Investors watching global signals

Financial experts say the latest market movements reflect uncertainty in the global economy. Oil traders and stock investors are responding to inflation concerns, central bank policies and expectations about future economic growth.

Sharp swings in oil prices often influence transport costs, manufacturing expenses and consumer prices, which makes energy markets an important indicator for businesses and governments.

With global markets still searching for direction, investors are expected to remain focused on upcoming economic data and international developments that could shape the next move in oil and equities.
