Sisters die after eating mangoes in Hyderabad - What went wrong?
A few days ago, reports emerged about the death of 17-year-old Bhuvaneshwari after eating mangoes. Now, her 10-year-old sister Sandhya has also passed away, deepening the tragedy for the family.
According to Indian media reports, the incident took place in Hyderabad, in the Indian state of Telangana. Sandhya was shifted to a hospital for treatment after her condition worsened, but she could not survive.
Police officials said that a relative named Renuka had purchased mangoes on her way to visit the family of Vaijnath and Indumati. The couple and their four daughters later ate the mangoes together.
Initial investigations revealed that the family began suffering from vomiting on Sunday evening. They were taken to a private hospital, where Bhuvaneshwari died during treatment while Sandhya remained in critical condition.
The condition of the parents and two other daughters gradually improved. However, Sandhya later died, leaving the family devastated.

Police are now trying to determine why the family became ill after eating the mangoes. Authorities are investigating whether the fruit was contaminated or if another factor caused the sudden sickness.
The incident has raised concerns among local residents and sparked questions about food safety. Officials are expected to continue their investigation to uncover the exact cause behind the tragedy.
Earlier, similar incidents involving deaths after consuming watermelon had also been reported in India. Such cases have increased public concern about the safety of fruits and food handling practices.
The deaths of two sisters have turned this into a highly sensitive case. The investigation will be important in finding out whether the illness was linked to the mangoes or another hidden cause.
