ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Former PML-N senator Taj Afridi dies in motorway accident near Swabi after vehicle loses control due to suspected mechanical fault.

Former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senator Taj Muhammad Afridi has died in a tragic road accident on the Peshawar Motorway near Swabi.

According to Motorway Police, the accident occurred when the vehicle carrying the former senator went out of control and left the road. Officials said the initial investigation suggests a possible mechanical fault.

As a result of the crash, Taj Afridi lost his life, while the driver of the vehicle was injured. Authorities said he was travelling from Islamabad to Peshawar at the time of the incident.

Rescue teams and Motorway Police reached the scene immediately after the accident and started relief operations.

Officials confirmed that rescue efforts continued at the site to clear the area and provide assistance.
