Trump claims US ‘ended Iran war’ and says nuclear deal agreed
Donald Trump has claimed that the United States has ended the war with Iran and that Tehran has agreed not to develop nuclear weapons, according to remarks heard during a tele-rally call.
Trump made the statement while speaking in a tele-rally with Georgia Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones. He said, “I don’t know if you heard, but we ended the war with Iran today. And they have agreed never to have a nuclear weapon.”
He added that this was the key objective of the agreement and described it as a major success for US policy. Trump further stated, “That was the whole purpose. That was 95% of it, and they’ve done it in the most powerful way you can do it.”
Burt Jones later shared details of the call on his Facebook page, saying he joined the tele-rally around 7:00 p.m. local time. A recording of the conversation was later uploaded to YouTube.

Reports also suggest that Trump had earlier indicated a possible peace deal between the United States and Iran could be finalised soon, possibly within the weekend, which may reopen key global shipping routes, including the Strait of Hormuz. However, Iranian officials have denied any final agreement, saying discussions are still ongoing and no conclusion has been reached so far.
If confirmed, the deal would mark a major diplomatic breakthrough in the three-month-long conflict, which has caused significant losses and pushed global energy prices higher. For now, the situation remains unclear, as conflicting statements from both sides continue to create uncertainty over whether a final peace agreement has truly been reached.
