Iran says no final peace deal reached with US yet
Trump said the possible US Iran peace deal could lead to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz for international shipping.
He described the development as a major step toward ending tensions between the two countries.
Speaking at the White House, Trump said, “We just made a great settlement of the war with Iran.” He suggested that the agreement could be completed as early as this weekend.
However, Iran has responded cautiously to the claims. Iranian officials said discussions are continuing and that important matters are still under review before any final approval.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said that many parts of the proposed agreement have been completed, but Tehran will not compromise on its key positions. He stated, “We have not reached a final conclusion on this matter.”
The possible Donald Trump Iran agreement has gained international attention because it could affect one of the world’s most important shipping routes.

The Strait of Hormuz plays a major role in global energy transportation, and its reopening could reduce concerns in international markets.
The talks come amid long-running Iran US tensions, with both sides facing pressure to reduce conflict and find a diplomatic solution.
Officials from both countries are still working through remaining issues before any agreement is confirmed.
A major part of the discussions involves Iran nuclear negotiations, as Washington has repeatedly focused on restrictions related to Tehran’s nuclear program. Any final deal would likely require further talks and approval from both sides.
The situation remains uncertain as Iran has not confirmed a final agreement. While Trump’s statements suggest progress, Tehran’s response indicates that negotiations are still ongoing.
