The feature for sharing posts and reels is called Reposts. This feature will allow users to share other people s public reels and feed posts. The person who first posted the post will receive credit and reshared posts will appear in a new tab.
According to Meta, a new reshare icon will now also appear in posts and reels. The company said this will give users access to more people because their posts will be reposted and reach other people s followers.
A new map feature is also being introduced on Instagram. In this map, you will be able to share your last active location while also determining who can see your location. Similarly, you will also be able to decide not to share the location of specific places.
According to the company, users will be able to disable location sharing at any time, while it will also be possible to view reels, posts, and stories via the map.
The third feature is the new Friends tab, which will be located above the reels, which will display public content from the user s contacts. This feature was previously available to limited users but is now being rolled out globally.
