England sends Norway home 2-1, qualifies for FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-finals
Norway struck first through Antonio Nusa's cutback finished by Jorgen Strand Larsen, before Jude Bellingham answered just before halftime to level the score at 1-1.
With the match still tied after 90 minutes, Bellingham pounced on a rebound from Morgan Rogers' long-range shot just three minutes into extra time to complete his brace and win it for England.

It was the fifth time Norway had scored first at this World Cup, but for the second straight knockout match, Bellingham proved to be England's saviour, having also struck the winner against Mexico in the round of 32.
Norway had a second-half goal ruled out after video review showed Erling Haaland had pushed an England player to the ground in the buildup to a corner kick that Torbjorn Heggem had finished.

Norwegian players and coaches also complained that a sky-cam wire may have altered the trajectory of a goal kick just before England's opening goal, though FIFA later said there was no evidence the ball's flight had been affected.

Norway, appearing in their first World Cup since 1998, had been chasing further history behind the goals of Erling Haaland after previously stunning five-time champions Brazil in the round of 16.
What's next for England
England reached their fourth-ever World Cup semifinal and will face either Switzerland or defending champions Argentina in the next round. Manager Thomas Tuchel's side has now advanced from two straight knockout matches by the narrowest of margins, following their earlier extra-time escape against Mexico.
