PDMA issues weather alert for major cities in Pakistan
Rain expected in northern areas
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the Pakistan rain forecast includes possible showers in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and nearby regions. Rain may occur with strong winds and thunderstorms.
The weather forecast today also suggests partly cloudy skies in upper areas. Residents in northern regions may experience cooler conditions, particularly during the morning and night.
Weather forecast for Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Islamabad and nearby areas are expected to remain dry. Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also experience dry weather.
However, partly cloudy conditions may develop in upper districts of the province. People in these areas may feel colder temperatures during the early morning and at night.
Punjab to remain mostly dry
Most districts of Punjab are likely to experience dry weather. However, Murree, Galiyat and nearby areas may have partly cloudy skies during the morning.
Residents and visitors travelling towards hill stations should monitor local conditions, particularly in the upper areas.

Sindh and Balochistan to see dry weather
Most districts of Sindh are expected to remain dry, with hot conditions during the daytime.
Balochistan is also likely to experience dry weather across most areas. The current Pakistan rain forecast indicates that the main chance of rain is in the northern parts of the country.
Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir may see cooler nights
Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir may experience partly cloudy weather, with colder conditions during the morning and night.
Some places in Gilgit-Baltistan could receive light rain with strong winds and thunderstorms during the evening or night. People planning to visit these areas should check updated local forecasts.
Rain recorded in several regions
During the previous 24 hours, parts of Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan received rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms.
Heavy rainfall was also recorded at a few locations. Most other parts of the country remained dry during the same period.
