Lahore has again topped the list of the most polluted cities, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 207, according to the reported readings. Recent coverage has also highlighted unhealthy air quality across several Lahore areas.

Pollution levels varied significantly across different parts of the city. Gulberg II recorded an AQI of 261, while Barki Road stood at 258 and Cantonment recorded 231.

The AQI in DHA Phase V was recorded at 230, while Model Town reported 197. Chaman Park and Bedian Road both recorded 193, while Askari 10 recorded 173.

The Punjab Environmental Protection Agency’s official monitoring platform also tracks air quality through multiple stations across Lahore, with readings changing throughout the day.

Warm and dry weather expected

Meanwhile, Lahore recorded a temperature of 31°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 35°C and the minimum 25°C.

Humidity was recorded at 65%, with winds blowing at around 3 kilometres per hour.

The weather department has forecast no rain in Lahore, with hot and dry conditions expected to continue.

The combination of stagnant winds and elevated pollution readings has kept air quality under focus. Residents, particularly those sensitive to air pollution, are advised to monitor official AQI updates before spending extended periods outdoors.
