Twelve Lahore youth missing after illegal migration attempt through Iran
Families appeal for Government assistance
Twelve young men from Lahore have reportedly gone missing after allegedly being taken abroad through an illegal migration network. According to their families, seven of the missing individuals belong to Paseen village near Jallo Mor in Lahore.
Among the missing are three cousins identified as Dilshad, Usama, and Waqas. Family members claim that a local agent named Amir persuaded the young men to travel abroad with promises of facilitating illegal migration, commonly referred to as the "Dunki" route.
Relatives said the group remained in contact after reaching Iran but communication suddenly stopped shortly afterward. They further alleged that they later received disturbing videos showing three of the young men in poor physical condition, with chains around their necks while pleading for financial assistance.

According to the families, an initial payment of Rs10 lakh per person was made following earlier demands. They now claim that an additional demand of 6,000 US dollars per individual has been made. Family members also allege they have received threats warning of serious consequences if the money is not paid.
One family reported that ransom demands were made using the mobile phone number belonging to one of the missing youths, Waqas. Relatives believe the individuals are being held against their will.
The affected families have submitted an application to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), requesting immediate action against those responsible. They have also appealed to the government to help locate the missing youths safely and investigate the alleged human trafficking network.
Authorities have not yet publicly confirmed the claims, and investigations are expected to continue.
