Sikh pilgrims reach Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal
Indian Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan to attend the martyrdom day commemorations of the fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji, have arrived at Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal under arrangements made by the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony.
The pilgrims expressed satisfaction with the arrangements, including accommodation, langar (community meals), cleanliness, medical services, transport and security. They thanked the Government of Pakistan, ETPB Chairman Qamar-uz-Zaman, Additional Secretary Shrines Nasser Mushtaq and the administration for providing what they described as excellent facilities.
The visitors also said their gurdwaras in Pakistan are now in better and more secure condition than before, adding that they have been provided with world-class facilities throughout their stay. Additional Secretary Shrines Nasser Mushtaq said that, under the directions of ETPB Chairman Qamar-uz-Zaman, every possible facility is being provided to the pilgrims. He added that the visit reflects Pakistan’s commitment to promoting religious tourism and interfaith harmony.

According to the official schedule, the pilgrims reached Gurdwara Panja Sahib after visiting Gurdwara Sacha Sauda in Farooqabad, where they will stay for one day and perform their religious rituals. On June 14, the Sikh jatha will travel to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur. On June 15, they will visit Gurdwara Rohri Sahib in Eminabad before returning to Lahore.
The main martyrdom day ceremony of Guru Arjan Dev Ji will be held on June 16 at Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore. After completing their 10-day religious visit, the Indian Sikh pilgrims are scheduled to depart for their homeland on June 19.
