Punjab offers agriculture graduates internships with Rs70,000 stipend
The Punjab government has launched a new internship programme for agriculture graduates, offering 1,500 paid positions with a monthly stipend of Rs70,000 to provide practical field experience and strengthen agricultural services across the province.
The programme, launched under the Chief Minister Punjab Agriculture Internship Program 2026, is part of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s vision to equip educated youth with practical skills while supporting the development of the agriculture sector.
The Agriculture Department Punjab said only candidates holding a BSc (Hons.) Agriculture degree are eligible to apply for the internship programme.
Requirement Details
Qualification: B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture
Age Limit: Maximum 27 years on the last date of application
Domicile: Relevant district domicile required
Previous Beneficiaries: Already selected interns of previous schemes are not eligible
Internship seats have been allocated across various districts of Punjab, including Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Jhang, Bhakkar, Muzaffargarh, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Layyah, Khanewal, Vehari, Okara, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock and several other districts.
Eligible candidates can download the application form from the official website of the Agriculture Department Punjab or obtain it from the office of the concerned Deputy Director Agriculture Extension or Assistant Director Agriculture Extension in their respective district.

Applicants must submit the completed application form along with the required documents, including educational certificates, CNIC, domicile and other supporting documents.
The completed application must be submitted to the office of the concerned Deputy Director Agriculture Extension by July 30, 2026. Officials have advised candidates to submit their applications before the deadline, warning that incomplete or late applications may not be considered.
The programme is expected to help agriculture graduates gain valuable field experience while strengthening the link between academic knowledge and practical farming practices across Punjab.
The Punjab government believes the initiative will not only improve the skills of young graduates but also enhance agricultural extension services and contribute to the long-term development of the province’s agriculture sector.
