Punjab launches “Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar” scheme for landless farmers
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has officially launched the “Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar Scheme” portal, marking a major step toward supporting landless farmers across the province.
The initiative aims to distribute agricultural land worth approximately Rs160 billion, enabling thousands of families to sustain livelihoods through farming.
According to officials, the scheme will benefit around 88,780 families through the allocation of 13,812 agricultural plots across various districts.
In the Cholistan region alone, 16,685 plots will be distributed, benefiting over 101,000 families. Each successful applicant will receive agricultural land valued between Rs2.5 million and Rs4 million for cultivation purposes.
