Pakistan tightens rules for pilgrims visiting Iran and Iraq
The directive was issued after a meeting held to assess progress on implementing the new Ziyarat Management Policy.
The session was attended by officials from the ministries of interior, foreign affairs and communications, alongside representatives of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and other relevant institutions.
During the meeting, participants reaffirmed the government's commitment to facilitating pilgrims travelling to Iran and Iraq.

The CAA and airlines were instructed to ensure maximum cooperation in providing travel-related assistance.
Officials said 262 Ziyarat Group Organizers have been approved under the new policy, urging pilgrims to book their trips only through these authorized operators.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs also advised intending pilgrims to verify approved operators through the ministry's official website, warning that it would not be liable for bookings made through unregistered individuals or companies.
