Pakistan Post cuts fuel allowance for postmen
The Director General of Pakistan Post has approved the revised Pakistan Post fuel policy, under which all postmen and delivery agents will now receive a fixed allocation of 30 litres of fuel every month.
The new system replaces the previous category-based structure, where fuel allocations varied depending on the employee’s role and city.
Earlier, postmen were entitled to 35 litres of fuel each month. Delivery agents working in major cities received 60 litres, while those in smaller cities were provided 50 litres. Under the revised Pakistan Post fuel policy, every employee involved in mail delivery will receive the same monthly allocation of 30 litres.
Officials said the earlier fuel limits had remained unchanged since November 17, 2023. The department decided to revise the policy to create a more uniform system and reduce differences in fuel allocations among employees.
The updated fuel allowance for postmen will be implemented in all Pakistan Post circles, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Multan, Hyderabad, Quetta, and Muzaffarabad.
