According to an official notification, while dine-in services must end at 10 pm, restaurants can continue delivery and takeaway services beyond the closing hours to ensure customers still have access to food. The decision aims to reduce electricity consumption and promote more efficient use of resources across the country.
The restrictions do not apply to essential services such as bakeries, medical stores, petrol pumps, CNG stations, and tandoors, which will continue normal operations.
Officials emphasized that the new rules are part of a broader campaign to support the government’s austerity efforts and help manage national energy resources more effectively. The measures are effective immediately.
