Noreen Niazi Called by NCCIA Over Social Media Remarks Against State Institutions
NCCIA summons Noreen Niazi
The NCCIA issued a notice directing Noreen Niazi to appear before its Cyber Crime Reporting Centre in Islamabad at 12pm on July 20.
According to the notice, NCCIA alleges that Noreen Niazi remarks against state institutions included false, offensive and inflammatory content that could damage the reputation of public institutions and spread misleading narratives online.
The agency also warned that failure to appear before investigators could result in legal action under Section 174 of the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860.
What prompted the action?
The notice comes after Noreen Niazi remarks against state institutions circulated widely on social media.
The comments were linked to “Marka-e-Haq”, the 2025 military conflict between Pakistan and India. In her remarks, Noreen questioned the nature of the conflict and made allegations involving the Pakistan Armed Forces, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Israel and the United States.
She also claimed that the conflict had broader political objectives, including issues related to Israel and the Abraham Accords. Her statements quickly attracted widespread attention and sparked debate online.

Background of Marka-e-Haq
Marka-e-Haq refers to the military confrontation between Pakistan and India that lasted from April 22 to May 10, 2025.
The conflict began after India launched strikes over allegations linked to an incident in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Pakistan responded militarily, leading to several days of fighting before the conflict ended following international diplomatic efforts.
