NHA increases toll tax on highways, motorways from July 10
On national highways, the toll for cars has been set at Rs100, while wagons will pay Rs200, buses Rs300, two- and three-axle trucks Rs400, and articulated trucks Rs700.
At the Kohat Tunnel (N-55), revised rates stand at Rs250 for cars, Rs650 for wagons, Rs750 for buses, Rs750 for two- and three-axle trucks, and Rs1,150 for articulated trucks.
On the Islamabad-Murree-Kashmir Dual Carriageway (E-75), cars will now pay Rs300, wagons Rs300, buses Rs450, two and three-axle trucks Rs500, and articulated trucks Rs1,000.
On the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1), cars will be charged Rs700, wagons up to 12 seats Rs1,100, coasters and mini buses Rs1,450, buses Rs2,100, two- and three-axle trucks Rs2,700, and articulated trucks Rs3,350. Similar increases apply across the M-3, M-4, M-5, M-14, and E-35 corridors.

Separately, tolls on the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway (M-2) rose by 7 percent from July 5, 2026, under the concession agreement signed in 2014 between NHA and Motorway Operations and Rehabilitation Engineering, a Frontier Works Organisation subsidiary.
Under the revised M-2 schedule, cars, jeeps and taxis will pay Rs1,430, wagons Rs2,390, and coasters Rs3,350, with the new rates remaining in force until April 23, 2027.

NHA has said toll revenue is needed to keep up with rising maintenance costs, asphalt and labour prices, and the expansion of technology-driven tolling systems such as M-Tag.
The increases are expected to raise travel costs for daily commuters as well as the transport and logistics sector, which relies heavily on the motorway network for freight movement across the country.
