LAHORE (Web Desk): NADRA has issued a NADRA alert over fake tracking IDs and misleading information being shared on social media.

Citizens warned about fake IDs

The latest NADRA warning asks citizens not to share their NADRA tracking ID in comments on the authority’s social media accounts.

The authority said fake tracking IDs and unverified information could be used to mislead people or obtain their personal details.

NADRA clarified that tracking IDs would not be provided through social media comments. Citizens should therefore avoid giving their information to anyone who requests it through comments or private messages.

Use official sources only

The NADRA alert also urges citizens to rely only on official sources and verified platforms when seeking information about NADRA services.

People should be particularly careful with fake tracking IDs, suspicious links, unknown accounts and messages that claim to represent the authority.

The latest NADRA warning comes as online users face growing risks from accounts designed to appear genuine.

Citizens should never share identity documents, tracking information or other personal details with unknown individuals or unofficial platforms.

How to check tracking information

People who want information about their NADRA tracking ID can use the official SMS service.

Citizens can send the required information to 8400 to access the tracking service.

They can also contact the NADRA helpline at 051-111-786-100. Mobile users can call 1777 for assistance.

These official options can help people avoid relying on suspicious social media accounts.

Pak ID app available

NADRA also provides several services through the Pak ID mobile application.

Citizens can use the app to access relevant services and information without depending on unofficial sources.

The NADRA alert advises users to carefully check links and messages before clicking on them or sharing information.

A social media account that looks official may not necessarily be genuine.

Do not share sensitive information

The authority has specifically asked people not to share their NADRA tracking ID, identity documents or other sensitive information with unrelated individuals.

The fake tracking IDs circulating through unofficial channels could create confusion and may also be used as part of attempts to collect private information.

Citizens should verify the identity of any person or account requesting their information.
