The new system aims to improve child registration and identity records. NADRA has launched a new procedure under which every child will get a separate B Form at different stages of life. Each form will include a photo and will be valid for a specific time period.
Under this system, the first B Form will be issued at the time of birth without a photo. This form will remain valid until the child turns 3 years old.

When the child reaches 3 years of age, a second B Form will be issued with a photograph. This form will be valid until the child turns 10 years old.
After the age of 10, a new B Form will again be issued with the child’s photograph and biometric details. These include iris scan and fingerprints for better identification.
This third B Form will remain valid until the child reaches 18 years of age. After that, the child will need to apply for a Computerized National Identity Card.
Parents have been instructed to register their child at the Union Council within one month of birth. After registration, they must obtain the B Form from NADRA.
Authorities also advised parents to renew the form on time when it expires. They can visit the nearest NADRA office or apply online through the PakID app from home.

This new system shows NADRA is focusing more on proper identity tracking. It may help reduce fake records and improve security. But parents will need to be more careful about deadlines. Missing updates could create problems later for children.
