According to the Punjab government, 114 Schools of Eminence are expected to become operational across Punjab by August 14, while the target is to complete 300 schools by September.
The government said the schools are being developed to provide quality education and modern learning facilities. Eligible students from low- and middle-income families will also receive free education. Earlier this month, the Punjab government announced that more than 71,000 students had applied for admission to the first 65 Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence.
Officials described the overwhelming response as a sign of growing public confidence in government-run educational institutions and the province’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education.
