(Web Desk): Kite and string sales will start in Lahore from today as authorities allow trading only till February 8 under strict rules.

Officials confirmed that 2,246 traders in Lahore have been permitted to buy and sell kites, reels, and strings. From tomorrow, approved shops will be allowed to open across the district.

The district administration said buying and selling of kites and strings will remain allowed only until February 8. After this date, there will be a complete ban on manufacturing and selling these items.

So far, 2,504 traders have applied online for registration. Out of these, 163 applications are still under process, while 95 trader applications have been rejected.

Authorities added that the registration process will continue until February 8 to allow more traders to come under the legal framework.

Officials stressed that strict action will be taken against anyone found making or selling kites and strings after the deadline. Continuous monitoring will be carried out to ensure compliance.
