These projects are part of the vision of President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The Pink Bus service has women drivers and conductors, praised globally, while EV buses and Pink EV scooters are firsts in Pakistan.

The aim of these initiatives is to empower women and provide them safety. Initially, only 150 women had licenses for Pink EV scooters, but now 20,000 women have applied. The Sindh government also offers free training to help them progress.

Sharjeel Memon said the Pink EV taxi project focuses on women’s safety and providing a secure environment. Safe transport allows women to actively participate in society and contribute confidently.

He emphasized that creating jobs for youth is the government’s responsibility, and this project is generating employment opportunities. EV vehicles are being prioritized for purchase, with imports arriving from various countries and increasing public preference for electric cars.

There are plans to set up an EV vehicle manufacturing plant in Dhabeji Special Economic Zone. Sharjeel urged industrialists to take part and contribute to the green transport initiative.

He also praised Pakistan’s growing respect globally, noting that claims against the Green Passport have been overturned after India faced setbacks. He attributed this success to national unity, the federal government, and the Pakistan Armed Forces.
