Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST) on Sunday staged a protest against the Punjab government’s refusal to grant helmet exemptions to individuals who wear the traditional Imamah Sharif.
A large number of PST leaders and workers gathered for the demonstration, chanting slogans in support of their demands and criticizing the government’s decision. The protest was organized in response to the continued enforcement of mandatory helmet laws without exemptions for turban wearers.

The protest comes days after Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced an exemption for the Sikh community from helmet laws during a Christmas event. However, protesters pointed out that the announcement has yet to be formally implemented through an official notification.
PST leaders demanded equal treatment and called for immediate issuance of a notification to address their concerns.
