The Balochistan government has imposed Section 144 across Quetta and the entire province in an effort to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents amid prevailing security concerns.

According to provincial officials, the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety and to avoid potential disturbances. A notification issued by the authorities outlines strict restrictions under Section 144, including a complete ban on the display of all types of weapons throughout the province.

The notification also states that all forms of public gatherings have been prohibited. This includes rallies, protests, sit-ins, processions, and any other assemblies at public places. Authorities have further clarified that the gathering of five or more people at any location will not be allowed during the enforcement period.
