ISPR reveals major success as 10 Fitna al Khawarij killed in KP
Security forces foil attack in South Waziristan
Pakistan security forces carried out two successful counterterrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing 10 Fitna al Khawarij operatives, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military’s media wing said the first operation took place in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan, where Fitna al Khawarij militants attempted to attack security forces’ check posts. The troops responded quickly and effectively, preventing the attackers from achieving their objective.
During the heavy exchange of fire, security forces killed eight militants. The ISPR said the operation demonstrated the preparedness and professionalism of the troops in dealing with terrorist threats.
The military added that the attack was successfully repulsed without allowing the militants to gain control of the security positions. The operation was part of the country’s ongoing efforts to improve security and eliminate terrorist networks operating in the region.
Two more militants killed in Upper Dir
In a separate operation conducted in Upper Dir district, Pakistan security forces killed two more Fitna al Khawarij operatives.
With these two deaths, the total number of militants killed in the two operations reached 10.
According to the ISPR, security personnel recovered weapons and ammunition from the slain militants. The military said the militants had been involved in multiple terrorist activities in different parts of the area.
A sanitisation operation is continuing to ensure that no remaining militants are hiding nearby. Security forces are conducting searches to clear the area completely and prevent any future attacks.
The military reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating terrorism and maintaining peace across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Operations follow recent success in Balochistan
The latest operations came just one day after Pakistan security forces carried out two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Washuk and Mastung districts.
According to the ISPR, those operations were conducted on August 5 and 6 under the ongoing “Rad-ul-Fitna-3” campaign. The military said 12 terrorists identified as Fitna Al Hindustan were killed during the intelligence-driven missions.
In Washuk district, security forces tracked the movement of six militants and engaged them in a carefully planned operation. The ISPR said all six militants were killed during the exchange.
The military described the campaign as part of its continuing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and protect the country from security threats. Intelligence-based operations are being conducted regularly across different regions to prevent attacks and maintain law and order.

ISPR reiterates commitment against terrorism
The ISPR said Pakistan security forces remain determined to eliminate terrorism from every part of the country.
Officials stated that operations against Fitna al Khawarij and other militant groups will continue until peace is fully restored. Security agencies are also working to locate and destroy remaining terrorist hideouts through intelligence-led actions.
The military urged citizens to continue supporting law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism, saying public cooperation plays an important role in maintaining national security.
