Security forces kill several terrorists in Lakki Marwat IBOs under Azm-e-Istehkam
Security sources said the intelligence-based operations (IBOs) were carried out in different parts of Lakki Marwat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision. The operations were launched after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area.
According to security sources, security forces surrounded the suspected locations and launched targeted operations. During the action, they engaged militants identified as Fitna al-Khawarij (FaK) in several encounters.
Terrorist hideouts destroyed during operation
Security officials said several terrorists were killed during the operations, while several others were reported to have been injured. The exact number of casualties has not yet been officially disclosed.
The forces also destroyed several terrorist hideouts that were allegedly being used for planning and carrying out militant activities. Officials said the destruction of these bases is expected to weaken terrorist networks operating in the region.
A large cache of weapons, ammunition and other military equipment was recovered from the militants’ hideouts. The recovered items have been taken into custody for further investigation.
Civilian safety remained a top priority
Security sources said the operations were carefully planned to protect civilians and avoid damage to public property. Every possible measure was taken to ensure that residents remained safe throughout the action.
Officials added that intelligence-based operations are conducted with detailed planning to target only suspected militant locations. Such operations aim to reduce security threats while minimizing risks to innocent people.
The security forces also appreciated the cooperation of local communities, saying public support remains important in maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Security forces continue anti-terror campaign
The security forces reaffirmed their commitment to continuing intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until terrorism is eliminated and lasting peace is restored.
Officials said the operations are part of the broader Azm-e-Istehkam strategy, which focuses on dismantling terrorist networks, preventing future attacks and strengthening security across the country.
Earlier, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that security forces had killed seven Indian-sponsored terrorists, including a suicide bomber, during an intelligence-based operation in the Nushki district of Balochistan.

According to ISPR, security personnel identified and monitored a terrorist hideout before carrying out a precise operation that resulted in the killing of all seven militants. During the action, a large quantity of ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was also destroyed at the site.
The latest operations in Lakki Marwat and Nushki reflect the continued efforts of Pakistan’s security forces to respond to intelligence reports and take action against militant groups operating in different parts of the country.
