ISPR confirms elimination of 27 militants in North Waziristan IBOs
Security forces have eliminated 27 militants during a series of intelligence-based operations in North Waziristan as authorities continue efforts to clear the area of militant elements.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), multiple intelligence-based operations were conducted over the past 72 hours in the Miranshah area of North Waziristan. The operations targeted suspected militant hideouts at various locations. The military said intense exchanges of fire took place during the operations, resulting in the elimination of 27 militants.
Security forces also recovered a large quantity of weapons and ammunition from the targeted locations, according to the ISPR. Officials said the militants were allegedly involved in various militant activities and attacks against innocent civilians in the region.

The military further stated that the operation was linked to efforts to bring the killers of Malik Saifullah Dawar to justice. According to officials, the suspects involved in the case were tracked down during the operation. Authorities said search and clearance operations are still underway to locate any remaining suspects and eliminate militant presence in the area.
The ISPR reaffirmed that operations under the national counter-terrorism strategy will continue, adding that security forces remain committed to dismantling militant networks and maintaining peace. The latest operation comes as security agencies intensify intelligence-led actions across parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to counter militant activities and strengthen regional security.
