(Web Desk): Doctors at Children’s Hospital Faisalabad saved a three-year-old child by successfully removing a metal lock stuck in his throat for four days.

Doctors at the Children’s Hospital Faisalabad achieved a major medical success by saving the life of a three-year-old child who had accidentally swallowed a metal door lock while playing.

According to hospital sources, the child had been suffering for four days after the foreign object became stuck in his throat, causing severe pain and difficulty. The worried parents, residents of Chiniot, kept visiting different medical facilities in search of urgent treatment but failed to get timely help.

The child was eventually brought to the Children’s Hospital Faisalabad, where a medical team led by senior gastroenterologist Dr Nageena Shehzadi took charge of the case. After detailed examination and assessment, the doctors decided to perform a delicate procedure to remove the lock from the child’s throat.

Dr Nageena Shehzadi successfully carried out the operation, safely removing the lock without causing further complications. The procedure was completed with great care, considering the young age of the patient and the sensitive nature of the case.

Talking to Suno News, Dr Nageena Shehzadi said the child had swallowed the lock four days earlier while playing at home. She added that timely medical intervention helped prevent a life-threatening situation and ensured the child’s recovery.

Hospital officials confirmed that the child’s condition improved after the procedure and he is now out of danger. Doctors are continuing to monitor his health, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
