ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): The Benazir Income Support Programme has extended the BISP mobile SIM deadline, giving thousands of women more time to collect their Benazir Mobile SIM and prepare for the government’s upcoming digital payment system.

According to officials, BISP beneficiaries can now collect their Benazir Mobile SIM free of charge from their nearest BISP office until June 30, 2026.

The extension was granted to ensure that all eligible women have enough time to complete the process and benefit from future digital payment services.

Authorities have urged BISP beneficiaries who have not yet received their Benazir Mobile SIM to visit their nearest office as soon as possible.

Women are advised to carry their personal mobile phones to make the registration and activation process easier.

The decision is part of the government’s “Cashless Pakistan” initiative, under which the Benazir Income Support Programme is shifting beneficiaries to a modern digital wallet system.

Through this system, financial assistance will be transferred directly to beneficiaries without unnecessary delays or deductions.

Officials say the Benazir Mobile SIM will play an important role in helping women access and manage their digital wallets.

The move is expected to improve transparency and provide a safer way for BISP beneficiaries to receive their payments.

The government previously announced that all recipients under the Benazir Income Support Programme would gradually be moved to digital accounts.

With the extension of the BISP mobile SIM deadline, more women will have the opportunity to complete registration before the new payment system becomes fully operational. Officials believe the digital wallet model will provide greater convenience and financial independence for beneficiaries.
