CM Maryam orders tighter Muharram security across Punjab
Punjab Chief Minister has said that the provincial government believes in continuous improvement rather than being satisfied with past achievements. She stressed that every major public event should be managed better than before.
Addressing a security review meeting, the chief minister praised district administrations and field teams for their arrangements during Eid-ul-Azha. She said their dedication and hard work helped ensure smooth operations across the province.
Maryam Nawaz directed officials to make even stronger arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram. She emphasized the need for foolproof security and better facilities for mourners to ensure a peaceful observance.
She appreciated the cleanliness and security measures carried out during Eid-ul-Azha and praised the commissioners, deputy commissioners, district administrations and other institutions for their effective performance.

The chief minister also commended the efforts of Regional Police Officers (RPOs), District Police Officers (DPOs), the Home Department and local government teams. She said Punjab’s 17 field formations delivered exemplary services during the Eid holidays.
She added that timely cleanliness operations after the animal sacrifice and proper arrangements at Eidgahs and mosques reflected the administration’s commitment to public service. Maryam Nawaz reiterated that maintaining high standards of governance, security and public services would remain a top priority for the Punjab government.
