Dusty winds, light rain expected in Sindh, Balochistan
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast strong dusty winds, thunderstorms, and light rainfall in several areas of Sindh and Balochistan. The warning comes as extreme heat continues to affect most parts of the country.
On Monday, hot and dry weather conditions persisted nationwide, with temperatures rising above 40°C in many cities.
The highest temperature recorded was 47°C in Sibi, followed by 45°C in Dadu, 42°C in Bahawalpur, 41°C in Multan, and 40°C in Hyderabad.

In major cities, temperatures also remained high, with Lahore and Faisalabad recording 38°C, Islamabad and Peshawar 37°C, while Karachi and Quetta recorded 35°C.
Weather experts have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight and take precautionary measures to stay hydrated during the ongoing heatwave.
The PMD also said that scattered rainfall with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and nearby mountainous regions.
