PESHAWAR: (Web Desk) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government ordered the closure of all educational institutions in light of the prevailing national security situation.

According to a notification issued by the provincial Education Department, the government took the decision to safeguard the lives of students, teachers, and staff members.

The notification states that all public and private schools, colleges, and universities would close immediately.

The institutions have been instructed to switch off exterior and rooftop lights in their hostels as a security precaution.

In the notification, the department explained that these measures aim to prevent any potential untoward incidents and maintain public order during a time of heigh alert.

Authorities have appealed to students, parents, and faculty to strictly pursue the government instructions and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities.

The Education Department clarified that the closure is a temporary precaution and that schools will reopen once the situation stabilizes.
