Schools found charging extra fees to face action
The Sindh Education Department has ordered strict action against private schools found charging parents fees beyond the officially sanctioned tuition amount.
In a notification issued by Additional Director of Private Schools Rafia Javed, the department noted that several institutions have been collecting unauthorized payments by adding hidden and extra charges to the government-approved tuition fee, in violation of existing rules.
All private schools across the province have been instructed to collect only the approved tuition fee and publicly display their complete fee schedule on their notice boards.

The notification also requires schools to provide parents with a copy of the officially approved tuition fee order whenever they request it.
Additionally, private educational institutions have been directed to maintain the required basic facilities for students.
The department warned that schools found imposing concealed or additional charges would face action under the relevant laws and regulations.
Separately, unregistered private schools have been given 15 days to file their registration applications through the online system.
Authorities said schools that fail to meet the required standards will be denied registration.
The notification further stated that deputy commissioners would be asked to seal such institutions, while affected students would be transferred to nearby registered schools.
