Punjab launches online training program for teachers
The Punjab Education Foundation announced that the Punjab online teacher training program will begin on July 1.
The training will be conducted completely online, allowing teachers to participate from home while learning modern teaching methods and classroom management skills.
Under the new policy, every partner school must nominate at least two teachers for the PEF teacher training programme.
Officials said the online teacher training Punjab initiative is compulsory and aims to improve teaching quality in schools working under the Punjab Education Foundation.
The Punjab online teacher training program will introduce teachers to innovative teaching techniques, digital learning tools, lesson planning, student engagement methods, and better classroom management.
Officials believe these skills will help teachers deliver more effective lessons after the summer break.
Teachers who successfully complete the PEF teacher training course will be named master trainers.
They will then train other teachers in their schools, helping the online teacher training Punjab programme reach more educators across the province.

According to the Punjab Education Foundation, the initiative is part of its long-term strategy to strengthen professional development.
The PEF teacher training programme is expected to improve instructional skills and raise education standards for thousands of students studying in partner schools.
Officials added that the online teacher training Punjab programme also supports the government's broader education reforms by encouraging the use of technology in classrooms.
The foundation wants teachers to stay updated with modern teaching practices and digital learning methods.
The programme builds on PEF’s existing teacher development framework, where educators receive subject-based virtual training, mentoring, classroom support, and performance evaluations.
Teachers who successfully complete the assessments will receive official e-certificates.
Education experts say investing in teacher development is one of the best ways to improve student performance. Better-trained teachers can make classrooms more engaging and help students achieve stronger learning outcomes.
