MDCAT 2026 registration crosses 138,000 as entry test date revealed
The nationwide entry test will take place simultaneously on August 16. Thousands of aspiring doctors and dentists are now preparing for one of the country’s most important admission examinations. The large number of registrations reflects strong interest in medical education and intense competition for limited seats.
The MDCAT 2026 examination will be held on Sunday, August 16, at 10:00 am across Pakistan. Authorities have assigned responsibilities to different universities to ensure the test is conducted in a transparent and organized manner.
According to official details, the University of Health Sciences Lahore will conduct the test in Punjab. Sukkur IBA University will manage arrangements in Sindh, while Khyber Medical University and Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences Quetta will oversee examinations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University Islamabad has been assigned responsibility for conducting the test in Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. The same university will also manage the MDCAT examination centre established in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) said an additional MDCAT test centre will be set up in Islamabad for the convenience of students from Balochistan. Bolan University of Medical Sciences will complete arrangements for this facility, allowing candidates with Balochistan domicile to benefit from easier access.
PMDC stated that the deadline for registration with the regular fee was July 13. However, students can still complete registration with a late fee until July 18.

Officials said all necessary arrangements are being finalized to provide candidates with a fair and transparent examination environment. The focus remains on ensuring smooth operations and equal opportunities for students across the country.
