Karachi Board announces Class 12 General Science result 2026
Inter Board Karachi Chairman Faqir Muhammad Lakho announced the results and congratulated the students, teachers, and educational institutions on their performance. The results include the top three position holders as well as the overall performance of students who appeared in the examinations.
Jannat Bint Ali Dost secures first position
Jannat Bint Ali Dost of Concordia College Gulshan-e-Hadeed Campus secured first position in the General Science Group.
She obtained 1,005 marks out of 1,100 and secured an A1 grade.
Her performance placed her at the top of the Karachi Board’s Class 12 General Science results for 2026.
Hamza Shakeel takes second position
Hamza Shakeel, son of Shakeel Ahmed, of Adamjee Government Science College, secured second position.
He scored 1,003 marks out of 1,100 and also secured an A1 grade.
The result adds to Adamjee Government Science College’s strong performance in this year’s intermediate examinations.
Laiba Zulfiqar secures third position
Laiba Zulfiqar, daughter of Zulfiqar Ali, of Bahria College, MT Khan Road, secured third position.
She obtained 989 marks and also secured an A1 grade.
The top three students all secured A1 grades in the General Science Group.
Adamjee Government Science College praised
Chairman Faqir Muhammad Lakho praised Adamjee Government Science College for the strong performance of its students. He noted that the college had already secured first, second, and third positions in the Pre-Engineering Group.
The institution also secured second position in the General Science Group this year. Lakho attributed the students’ success to the hard work and guidance of their teachers and principal.
Government institutions show strong performance
Lakho said the performance of students from government educational institutions in the intermediate examinations was encouraging.

He said the results reflected an improvement in the standard of education in Sindh. The strong performance by Adamjee Government Science College was highlighted as an example of the results achieved by government-sector institutions.
Over 18,000 candidates appeared
According to Controller of Examinations Zareena Rashid, 18,913 candidates registered for the General Science examinations.
A total of 18,591 candidates appeared in the examinations.
Of those who appeared, 10,511 candidates were declared successful.
The overall pass percentage stood at 56.54%.
The figures show that more than half of the students who appeared in the examinations successfully cleared the Class 12 General Science Group.
Grade-wise result details
The results also showed how students performed across different grades.
A total of 748 candidates secured an A1 grade, while 2,193 students obtained an A grade.
Another 3,184 candidates secured a B grade, while 3,076 students received a C grade.
Meanwhile, 1,280 candidates obtained a D grade, while 20 students passed with an E grade.
The grade distribution provides a broader picture of student performance beyond the top three positions.
What the result means for students
The Class 12 result is an important milestone for students preparing to enter universities, professional institutions, or other higher education programmes.
Students who have secured strong grades can now use their intermediate results when applying for further studies. The performance of the top position holders also highlights the strong competition among students across Karachi’s colleges.
