Funded by the World Bank Group, the prestigious scholarship supports graduate studies in development-related fields at 41 eligible master’s programs across 24 top-ranked universities in the United States, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and Japan. The deadline to apply for Round 1 is February 27, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the JJ/WBGSP 2026, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a developing country
- Not hold dual citizenship of a developed country
- Be in good physical health
- Hold a bachelor’s degree earned at least three years before the deadline
- Have minimum three years of full-time development-related work experience
- Receive unconditional admission to an eligible master’s program
How to Apply
Applicants must first apply directly to one of the eligible master’s programs offered by participating universities. Only candidates with unconditional admission offers will receive access to the World Bank Scholarship application form.
