After Momina Iqbal, Arooba Mirza posts Saqib Chadhar’s ‘harassing’ chats

The controversy surrounding Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar has taken another dramatic turn. Actress Arooba Mirza has shared screenshots of alleged Instagram messages, claiming the lawmaker repeatedly tried to contact her.

Arooba Mirza posted the alleged screenshots on her Instagram Stories. The images appear to show requests to start a conversation on Instagram and continue chatting on Snapchat.

Along with the screenshots, the actress wrote, “Momina Iqbal, Syeda Tuba, and now me too.” Her post has attracted widespread attention on social media and sparked fresh public debate.

Meanwhile, the controversy has expanded beyond social media. A fresh application has been submitted to the Election Commission seeking details of Saqib Chadhar’s assets and election documents.

According to reports, Advocate Mian Asif Mahmood filed the application. He requested certified copies of Saqib Chadhar’s nomination papers and asset declarations to review the lawmaker’s financial disclosures.

The applicant said a request for Saqib Chadhar’s disqualification has already been submitted to the Speaker of the Punjab Assembly. He argued that examining the election record is necessary to determine whether the MPA’s membership remains valid.

So far, the alleged messages shared by Arooba Mirza have not been independently verified. Saqib Chadhar has also not publicly responded to the latest allegations at the time of reporting.

The controversy is now moving on two separate fronts, with social media allegations and legal proceedings drawing attention at the same time. The coming days may become important as official responses and any evidence presented could shape the direction of the case.

According to her complaint submitted at Chung Police Station, actress and model Momina Iqbal accused PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar of repeatedly contacting and threatening both her and her fiancé.

The actress alleged that the situation worsened after she rejected a marriage proposal. She claimed that abusive behavior, threatening messages, video calls, and blackmail attempts followed afterward.

Momina Iqbal further claimed that threatening messages were also sent to her sister, causing concern and stress for the entire family. She said the situation had affected their mental well-being for an extended period.
